High school year book recalled after possibly sexual photo discovered

FoxNews.com reports that students at Big Bear High School in Big Bear Lake, CA, 70 miles east of Los Angeles, are being asked to turn in their yearbooks after a photo was discovered to contain a images of two students engaged in a sexual act.

Apparently, the photo in question is from a high school dance, described as a “17-year-old boy’s hand inside the clothing of a 15-year-old girl in a way that suggests sexual penetration.” They’re calling the photo “child  pornography” and threatening students with charges of possession of child porn if they don’t turn in their yearbooks for editing.

“The photo was taken at a dance and the suspect and victim are not the focus of the photo. They are in the background and likely didn’t know they were in the photo,” said San Bernardino County sheriff’s spokeswoman Cynthia Bachman in the article.

Call me crazy but isn’t anyone concerned that students at a high school dance were engaging in sexual activities – apparently right during the dance?  In front of classmates (who, I find it hard to believe, didn’t know what was going on)? And chaperones?

Thoughts, anyone?
