Aunt Bea was on the nesting box this morning, and she was crowing like nothing I’ve heard from her before. I mean, loud and long crowing the whole time she was sitting on the nest. I waited outside until she came out, and she continued her bellowing as she strutted around the yard. She was making quite a production about the egg she’s just laid.
Well, when I took a look in the nesting box, I could see what the fuss was about! She laid a huge egg! Much bigger than any she’s laid so far, and waaay bigger than Mrs. Wiggins’ eggs. Ouch!
